NAPPY BAG? NO WAY! GUEST REVIEW: THE FLORENCE TRAVELER

By The Team February 3, 2016

REVIEW

As soon as I saw this VANCHI nappy bag I knew it was going to be a favourite. It’s understated, classic look, its size and its compartments for organisation and easy access ticked the boxes straight away. Here’s what you need to know about this bag, and here’s why I love the Florence Traveler nappy bag. My criteria boils down to 2 simple things. Number one: a nappy bag that functions to make getting out and about with baby easier, not harder. And two, a look that makes me feel sophisticated taking it out, especially on days when I need all the help I can get! In both of these areas the Florence excels.

The Florence comes in four colours that I consider to be modern chic neutral so you can feel comfortable slinging it over your shoulder with any outfit. And speaking of slinging it over your shoulder, one of my favourite features of this bag is the 12-inch handle drop! Not so important when my toddler was stationary, but now he’s a fast mover, I cant afford to use one hand to hold the handles while I feed my other arm through to get it on my shoulder. Sounds little, but things like that change my world leaving the playground.

The size of the Florence is generous, which is great, when on any given outing I’ve had to fit in cloth nappies, wipes, a wet bag, a change mat, cream, bibs, food bag/bottles, a change of clothes, books, toys, a hat, a water bottle, dummies, AND my essentials!

The thing I like about the VANCHI Nu Leather (aside from it being durable and easy to clean, ethically made and great looking) is that its soft enough so when the bag isn’t full it slouches down and is comfortable to carry, all the while having a great capacity. This latest offering from VANCHI is packed with the usual (and extremely useful!) inclusions that VANCHI is known for, including a wet pack, a change mat, an insulated dummy safe and bottle pouch and an additional strap that converts the shoulder strap to a pram strap. The inclusions all beautifully complement the look of the bag without compromising function.

The design of the Florence is really thoughtful too. Time and again you get a nappy bag that fits everything, but has one, maybe two, compartments and a couple of pockets and things get lost. And it’s always the things you need quickly that end up buried at the bottom of the bag. Not with the Florence. With 3 generous full sized compartments, each with a durable full-length zip, 3 outside pockets (2 with easy access studs and 1 secure zip pocket) and 5 interior pockets (4 open pouch pockets, 1 zip pocket) There’s a place for EVERYTHING! I love how organized I feel loading up this bag, and it’s the only bag I’ve used that is just as organized when it gets home!

Overall, I’ve been so impressed with the Florence Traveler nappy bag. It is a bag that allows room to grow with the different stages of life as a mum, all the while helping you to feel and look good doing it. Xx
